Introduction

Faculty of Pharmacy UGM as one of the leading education institution has a commitment to improve the quality of graduate competency through Postgraduate Program.

 

Postgraduate Program of Faculty of Pharmacy UGM offers a structural Doctor of Phylosophy (PhD/S3) Program, which is designed to ensure the participant achieving the degree, on time. The PhD/S3 Program of Faculty of Pharmacy UGM provide multidisciplinary Pharmaceutical Sciences to be chosen, such as Pharmaceutical Biology, Pharmacology and Toxicology, Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Social Pharmacy.

 

Postgraduate Program of Faculty Pharmacy UGM is managed by academic staff having high reputation in academic and research, nationally and internationally. The Program is also supported by exellent facilities such as laboratory, library, multi-media and high-speed internet access.

 

Objective of PhD/S3 Program

The objective of the PhD/S3 Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences is to produce graduate having exellent competency in:

1. Mastering in Advanced Pharmaceutical Sciences, include:
   a. Recent advanced Pharmaceutical Sciences
   b. Application of drug discovering and development design
   c. Implementation of Pharmaceutical Sciences in GMP
2. Data analysing and compiling as information source in Pharmacy field to improve public services
3. Managerial ability in managing pharmacy policy as component of health services such as clinical and community services
4. Highly appreciate moral and etics value

Program Excellency

1. PhD/S3 Program run by Faculty of Pharmacy UGM is designed to be completed on time. Teaching- learning process and disertation advicing are strictly monitored to achieve satisfactory result.
2. Established collaboration between laboratories, research institutions and PhD/S3 Program of Faculty of Pharmacy should support disertation research 

Participant of the PhD/S3 Program

Candidates of PhD/S3 Program are S2 degree holder and expected to posses high academic motivation to pursue higher degree and advancement of Pharmaceutical Sciences. They are also capable of developing pharmaceutical sciences and technology, and implementing the aquired knowledge for public interest.

Participant of PhD/S3 Program are categorized in 2 (two) groups: S2 degree holder in Pharmaceutical Sciences or S2 degree holder in non Pharmaceutical Sciences
